Why did an appointment appear in Meevo and then disappear?
When a guest attempts to book an appointment through the Meevo online booking or through REACH the Meevo platform will automatically place a "Hold" on that appointment time slot. If the guest does not actually complete the payment steps or leaves the booking page then the appointment slot is released.
Meevo will send a "booking confirmation" email at the moment it adds the appointment in a "Pending" state on your Meevo calendar. Meevo will then send a cancellation notification to the guest when/if payment is never received. All of this usually happens within about 10 minutes or less.
Since REACH uses the Meevo calendar and their process is to place a pending appointment onto the calendar, and send communication to the client we follow their lead in this booking process.
All booking confirmation and cancellation emails during this process are sent from Meevo and not through the REACH platform.
